What Works In Today’s Real Estate Market?

Lots of discussion these days on doing business in down markets, right? As I have mentioned here before, belonging to a networking group gives you access to what works for others….and that really helps when you are looking for ideas to help your business in a slow market.

Our CyberStar(tm) networking group is, I feel, the best in real estate. Members continually help each other, either on our private Google Group, at our private Summits or at our meetings at various conventions.  We help each other today in sharing ideas on marketing in a slow market.

Here is a share, used with permission, from CyberStar(tm) Leslie McDonnell, Team RE/MAX Suburban, Libertyville, IL.  It was one response to a thread on "what works?" in slow markets:

"In my opinion, pricing is number one, staging is number two, and advertising the heck out of sold properties by putting up a sold sign the minute a deal is solid is number three. I have changed all my farming campaigns to reflect that, yes, homes are selling. I have taken the usual objections to buying/selling now and made them the header of each mailing I do. For example, Inuse the heading, "Who says homes aren’t selling?" and then list everything we have sold, etc."

Just one CyberStar’s(tm) suggestions for doing good business in a tough market…hope it helps you!

It’s a great day here on the lake in Reston…hope it’s a great day wherever you are, too!
