Marvelous Video Digital Camera For Real Estate!
A "must have" tech tool and how to use it to build your business using it!
During the CRS 206 technology classes I teach, we share a lot of ideas, tip and techniques to help an agent grow his or her business. I finished teaching a 206 today here in Watertown, S.D. In addition to my sharing a lot of new tools with attendees, the attendees shared tools that they used and how they used them.
One student, Lee Schelling of Tri-State REALTORS(r), Sioux Falls, SD, demonstrated his Flip Video digital video camera. During a break, Lee and another student took a video using this sharp little tech tool. After the break, we plugged the Flip Video into a computer’s USB port and were able to instantly show the video, complete with sound. The video was amazingly clear, the sound excellent!
We then brainstormed uses for the digital video file. Among the uses we came up with were:
- Having the seller’s children, if any, record a video stating what they like about the home, then putting a link to the video by the listing on your site.
- Create a video of the sellers talking about what they like about their home and link it to the listing on your site
- Creating a video showing construction progress on a sale to an out-of-town seller
- Using the Flip Video camera to do a video of a listing in lieu of a virtual tour
- Recording youth sports activities, posting the video on your Web site, then sending the link to all team parents
- Creat videos of your client appreciation party and give them to the guests on a mini-cd
Many more uses for a digital video camera, and the Flip Video unit seems to fit the bill: small, light, instant connection via a USB port, 30-60 minute recording time (depending on which model you get), excellent image and sound quality….and a real "Wow!" when you pull it out and use it in front of them.
The students researched pricing on various buying sites (which we had investigated earlier during the course), and the lowest price they found was $110.
