Holiday Client Event Idea for Real Estate Agents
Working your Sphere of Influence via client events pays off much better than print marketing in a down market!
I love learning from my CyberStars(r)….they are a creative group, and they really know how to market real estate. Here’s one example that CyberStar(r) Dianne Dunn of Keller Williams Realty, New Bern, NC (www.NewBernHomes.com) sent in:
"My team and I also did the Thanksgiving Pie event for clients, and it
was a great success! We offered it Tuesday at the office from 10 to 4, and I
haven’t had a chance to write and thank Leslie personally, so a big THANK YOU Leslie, for sharing your idea and postcards!
I arranged for a 10% discount from a delicious bakery, and then we added a large thank you label to each box.
The response was overwhelming! Even those who were traveling and had to decline called and complimented us on the thoughtful gesture. Over 100 invites were sent, and about 60 people reserved pies and stopped by to pick them up. Many were clients that I had not personally seen in years, and it was great to make that ‘personal touch’ again, along with introducing the whole team.
"I decided at last year’s CyberStar(r) Summit to plan this event. When business started to slow down after June, I reviewed the sources of my business and discovered that I was throwing money out the window with some of the print advertising I was doing. No sales could be attributed to the ads, so I cancelled all print advertising and decided to focus on my past-client sphere.
I’ve been listening to other agents complain about their expenses with newspaper ads and Homes Mag ads, and it seems that they try to ‘out-do’ each other on who has the best ad. From now on, my focus is solely on my sphere of clients and Internet marketing — the two areas that continue to actually bring the business in!"
It’s a great evening here on the lake in Reston….hope it’s a great day/evening wherever you are, too!
